Baharat is literally the Arabic word for ‘spice’ & ours is an incredibly versatile, rich, almost-smoky blend of spices to give richness to anything.
Rub it on lamb before roasting, add to homemade burgers, sprinkle on roast veg or add to soups, tagines, lentil dishes, stews & tomato sauces – this is next level cooking at its simplest.
Like so many in our range, this is another that’s sugar-free, gluten-free, paleo & vegan too. With no fillers or anything artificial, our unique blend of herbs & spice create the purest, freshest flavour possible to give your food attitude.
This makes it ‘free’ on all the slimming plans we know of!
Used abundantly in the Middle East, Baharat is used in a similar way to how Garam Masala is used in India. Rub it on chicken drumsticks for a delicious twist, or mix with oil & fresh chopped parsley & garlic to rub into pitta bread or flatbreads – this is even a gorgeous drizzle over roasted veg just before you serve.
It’s easy to make the perfect marinade or drizzle: mix 1-2 tsp with a splash of oil & drizzle on lamb or chicken a few hours before (overnight is best) to really absorb the flavours. It’s a perfect partner for marinading kebabs or adding to lamb mince for koftas.
