An essential of Middle Eastern cuisine, Za’Atar is a beautiful blend of Sumac, ground sesame seeds and herbs that makes a perfect marinade or drizzle. Mix 2 tsp with a splash of oil for a fab marinade for lamb kebabs – don’t forget to brush more on whilst they cook too, using a herby brush for maximum flavour!

It’s also great as a snack – mix with oil (with a splash of a good vinegar or lemon juice if you prefer) and brush over pitta or flatbreads.

Sumac has a citrusy taste without the acidity of lemon that’s delicious in marinades, seasonings, stews and soups.

Use for casseroles, meats, fish, vegetables or even add to a salad dressing for an incredible boost.
