Herbes de Provence
This classic blend of Herbes de Provence contains thyme, marjoram, rosemary, oregano, basil, savory & tarragon, all herbs typical of the region. Some contain lavender though this was mainly for the American market & is not typical of blends found in Provence.
Herbes de Provence are mainly used to flavour grilled meat, fish or vegetable stews; add during cooking or mix with a splash of oil for a simple herb marinade. You can even throw a pinch on the charcoal in a BBQ for the herby aromatics to gently infuse the meat.
