Our Lucuma Powder is a 100% pure source of the whole fruit sourced from farms in Peru. It is cold-milled & ground into a fine powder with no additives or heat, thereby maintaining the natural goodness of the fruit. Lucuma Powder is extremely versatile, containing beta carotene, iron, zinc, vitamin B3, calcium, protein, Calcium & Phosphorus & may be helpful for skin health, blood sugar & even cardiovascular health.
It has been used as a sweetener and base ingredient in Incan food for centuries, hence its name ‘Gold of Incas’.
With its maple-like taste, Lucuma Powder has a wide range of uses. It can be added to your smoothies & shakes, porridge, ice cream or yoghurt. Lucuma Powder is great for home baking too & can even be used as a replacement to sugar.
For a great smoothie, add 2 tsp (8g) of Lucuma Powder to a blender with a banana & 200ml almond milk (or your favourite alternative) & blend well. Add berries too for an extra boost. If just used like this, the pot contains around 6 servings, so it’s great value.
For a great treat, try Lucuma Nice Cream: freeze two chopped bananas, then add them to a food processor or blender, with just a splash of roasted hazelnut milk (or almond milk, etc) and 1 heaped teaspoon of Lucuma Powder, then blitz until smooth. You won’t believe how good this tastes!
