White Aged Balsamic Vinegar

£ 6.75 £ 5.75

Our beautiful White Aged Balsamic vinegar is light, fruity & full of fruit flavours. Naturally sweet, we don’t add a grain of sugar to this balsamic either, resulting in a clean, fresh-tasting dressing. It’s sweet with a hint of creaminess & almost-butterscotch backnotes.

We’re also please to announce it is a coveted GREAT TASTE AWARD WINNER! In a true blind-tasting, the judges of this most prestigious of awards had this to say:

  • Clear, bright, fruity with a well-judged balance of acidity & sweetness.
  • Versatile in its balance & mildness, we liked the grapey-fruitiness behind this beautiful white balsamic.
  • Light, clean-looking dressing with subtle aroma; the flavour is clean & fresh
  • Well balanced with the sweetness & acidity to give an interesting complexity & length.

A lot of people haven’t even heard of a white balsamic, and even the ones that have haven’t tasted one this good!

Whilst not as thick as our traditional aged range, it’s noticeably thicker & more syrupy than any we’ve seen despite being a touch younger. Even the lightest drizzle of this beautiful balsamic will add a zing to salads, fish, seafood (especially scallops or tuna) or even a fruit salad.

It’s also ‘free’ on all the slimming plans we know of!

It won’t caramelise as easily as the traditional (dark) balsamic vinegars so it’s versatile enough to use in cooking.

A drizzle when cooking pancetta or roast pork will add an extra dimension of flavour that works beautifully, or use to balance a ceviche for a lightness & purity that is difficult to achieve using a cheap, sugary-sweet fruit vinegar or a traditional, rich aged balsamic vinegar. Try a shot in a prosecco or a tall glass with ice & soda water for a refreshing long drink!

This is unlike any ‘supermarket balsamic’; in fact, look at the ingredients in the cheap ones & you might be surprised! Instead, this is an incredible partner to anything and you’ll only need the lightest drizzle to give a real richness to anything.

Balsamic vinegar [concentrated grape must, wine vinegar]. Contains sulfites.

My daughter bought me a bottle of this from the Good Food show in London last year and I absolutely love it. Drizzled over fried leek and kale with rare strips of beef makes for a very healthy and tasty meal.
